The dubbing studio CINEMA UA Dubb was founded by one of the most demanded composers and sound producers in Ukraine, Yuriy Grom and film director, that graduate of the Hollywood Film School, winner of the first prize of the Rhode Island Film Festival, Vladimir Lert.

Live Sound

Our LIVE SOUND MIMICRATION dubbing technique creates the illusion that the viewer hears a live sound from the set and not dubbing from the studio, as is usually the case.
How do we achieve this illusion?

  • voices are recorded using the same microphone models used by the best sound engineers in the world to record live sound on film sets.
  • individual words and phrases spoken by the characters are composed by our linguists in such a way that the articulation and meaning are as similar as possible to the sound of a particular word pronounced in the original.

Casting

The best of the best actors are carefully selected. After the casting is completed, each dubbing actor, together with the director, studies the acting style of the actor who performed the role in the original and then copied the acting style. From this comes the illusion, as if the actor who played a role in the original spoke in a foreign language with his voice.

Lipsync

Then, using special software, the sound engineer “puts” each line exactly on the lips of the character. By preserving intonations, we preserve the original vision of
the director who made the film or series.
